Descrição The purpose of this project was to find a method and material to seal the ingress of water into underground cable ducts below DLR railways. 55 ducts were injected with KÖSTER KB-Pur Gel with an average of 170 litres of gel / water injected into each duct. The resin does not generate any heat during its gelling process and it has a thermal conductivity of 0.6 (W/m*K). Some of the ducts that were sealed contain 70 Volt DC cables that generate a reasonable amount of heat, therefore the greater the thermal conductivity of the resin the better.
